There has been a record shop in Brighton Square since the development was first opened. That was way back before CDs had been invented and vinyl was king. Much has changed in 35 years but Rounder is constant. We still stock vinyl, eight tons of it to be precise, and the ubiquitous CDs.

We pride ourselves in our knowledge and enthusiasm for new artists and bands. We have seen all the 'scenes' and probably started one or two, and now find ourselves as one of the country's most independent record stores. Voted into the Independent Newspaper's Top Ten stores, with luminaries such as Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) and Damian Harris as ex-employees we are all wondering what next!

But that's the beauty of it. We don't know and that's what makes the musical world we inhabit so exciting. Here's to the next 35 years.
